Mrs. Darcy doesn't sound so bad

I love London of course (as if you couldn't tell) but my favorite part of the entire trip by far was our week away to the North--SO BEAUTIFUL--but of course we made a few stops on the way there (it was a long coach ride, let me tell you). So first stop: Mr. Darcy's home, Pemberley (as seen in the 2005 Pride and Prejudice), or as it is known in reality, Chatsworth Estate. Chatsworth is a large country estate in Chatsworth, Derbyshire, England, and is the seat of the Duke of Devonshire. It was used in the filming of Pride and Prejudice, The Duchess, and The Wolfman. So, pretty cool place.

Mr. Darcy, 2005 edition:
No, that's not all my hair--it's part of the statue behind me--but I will admit to having a bad hair day. I was on a bus heading North to the Lake District for the week, don't judge (you should try being on a bus with that many girls for that many hours--it starts to wear on you). :P

Okay, what part of the tour would be my favorite? Dress ups! Yes, they totally had a room for dress ups, and yes, it was amazingly fun. Michael Jackson meets Jane Austen. Seriously, can't beat that.
And of course I had to try on the girly dress as well--I decided I want to have tea parties and wear pretty dresses around the house all the time.
Aw, the libraries... <3

and dinner's not lookin' too shabby either.
Such a beautiful building!
and the gardens--to die for.

and of course, we stopped to make friends with the locals.

I could totally make this place work.

Did I ever mention just how much we love ICE CREAM??? :)

Such a BEAUTIFUL place!
Okay, after visiting the Chatsworth Estate (aka Pemberly) I can totally see why you might want to be the next Mrs. Darcy.
