Sacre Coeur Basilica

I thought it would never stop raining. There was so much water everywhere that day, no wonder we got lost! This wonderful Bastille Day made me feel right at home in Utah! It started out clear, sunny, blue skies, sudden down pour and flash flood throughout the day, then suddenly cleared up just in time for dinner and fireworks. Crazy! After our adventures to Notre Dame and all over the dang city of Paris, we had some hot chocolate and then ventured up up to the Sacre Coeur Basilica--still in the rain of course; it's on the edge of the city, up much higher. It feels like it isn't even in paris, but rather some cute, quaint little French town--like going back in time. It's beautiful--I loved it! You can see all of the city from the steps of the Basilica, definitely worth the hike.
Up the stairs, up the never-ending cobblestone road...
Passed the photo shoot and frowning French model--who we silly American tourists actually got to smile! ;)
And here it is!

When we went inside it was still raining--when we came outside, it was sunny with blue skies once again! What ridiculous weather--but good thing, because then we could go back and watch the Bastille Day fireworks that night.
